About Me

Darwin Manubag is a professor in Political Science, Policy and Governance, Peace and Sustainable Development Studies at the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology for 25 years. He is a recipient of the Australia Leadership Award (ALA) for his PhD studies at Monash University. He finished his Master of Public Policy and Management at the University of Melbourne and his Master of Peace and Development Studies at the Mindanao State University as a CHED Scholar. He is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government Executive Education on Leadership in Crisis in 2015 and the International Dean’s Course (IDC Southeast Asia) on University Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Oznabrueck Germany in 2010, He is a certified trainer of the British Council on Active Citizens in Social Enterprise, GIZ- COSERAM on Do No Harm and Junior Chamber International handling courses in leadership, peace and conflict, organizational management, social enterprise development and incubation. He is the former director of the Department of Extension and Community Engagement of MSU-IIT from 2016-2019 and a former Peace Education Coordinator of the Institute of Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM)


He is currently a policy and administration consultant of the Lone District of Iligan Congress of the Philippines, and an agri-preneur involved in a number of community development programs.
