General Requirements:

A. Completion of the equivalent of two years of college course work

B. 2.5 cumulative GPA

C. Grade of C or better in all basic proficiency and science requirement courses

D. 90 quarter credits (60 semester credit hours), including a minimum number of credits in the basic proficiency, science and general education categories

4 to 6 semesters

Entering undergraduates must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA with a grade of C or better in basic proficiency and science requirement courses. Exceptional applicants who do not meet this minimum requirement will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.


Prior to enrolling, students must have completed 60 semester credit hours, including a minimum number of credits in specific proficiency and general education requirements or as decided by the academic adviser. Students may apply to the program while completing prerequisite coursework.


Basic Proficiency and Science Requirements: (24 semester credit hours or)

English Literature or Composition 6 semester credit hours

Mathematics & College Algebra 6 semester credit hours

General Psychology 3 semester credit hours

Public Speaking 3 semester credit hours

Survey level General Biology with lab 6 semester credit hours


General Education Requirements: (24 semester credit hours)

Natural Science 6 semester credit hours

Arts and Humanities 9 semester credit hours

Social Sciences 9 semester credit hours


Electives 25 quarter credits: (12 semester credit hours)


The number of elective credits may vary depending upon the exact number of quarter credits earned in the other prerequisite categories. Total prerequisite credits must equal at least 60 semester credit hours.
